Community projects

1. Subsidised IP care

We offer subsidised IP care and free assessment for individuals facing economic hardships. Patients or carers can apply directly at our front office to avail this. There is no requirement to produce any income certificate for this.

2. Free OP care

We issue pre-approved free care cards to doctors, people’s representatives, social activists and school head teachers. For every deserving patient referred, we send the referrer another free care card to support their efforts to bring care and support to those struggling with the twin burdens of poverty and mental illness in our communities.

3. Mental Health Helpline for Govt Schools

We provide telephone advice and support to teachers in public sector schools in three districts (Thrissur, Malappuram and Palakkad). Th help line number is alive 9 am to 5 pm. We also conduct training workshops for teachers and parents working closely with local self-governments and schools.

4. UMe crisis listening service.

This is a 24-hour free listening service offered by InMind trained listeners.

5. Emotional Literacy Training.

This is offered to teachers. Schools/ local educational authority can take initiative to organise this. InMind offers free online and onsite training workshops to govt schools

6. Mind Literacy:

These workshops are offered to public as part of mental health interventions designed by local self-governments in their efforts to make local communities 100% mental health literate.

7. SPOT (Suicide Prevention Online Training):

This is the first and only online course in India to that aims to improve public preparedness for suicide prevention. The course will equip the learner to help individuals in suicidal crisis. 7000 individuals have successfully completed this course. The course is developed by InMind and colleagues from the University of Cambridge,UK.

8. STOP (Stigma Training Online Programme):

Stigma of mental illness is destroying lives. This course will prepare mental health professionals to be more knowledgeable and creative in fighting stigma

9. MindRights:

Human right violation is not uncommon when it comes to mental illness. This course will enhance public knowledge and awareness of legal rights and roles of different stakeholders in ensuring these rights.

10. LAHAR (Live by Avoiding Harm And Risk):

If you are using any substances/ drugs,this course will help you avoid harm and risk from illicit substances and work towards a life free from drugs. This course will equip those in teaching, law enforcing and social care professions to detect drug use early and to support recovery from self-destructive behaviours.
